Airbnb's are the new favourite way to holiday. And we are obsessed. We love the homely touches and styling efforts that the Airbnb hosts go to to make it a personalised experience for their guests.
We are blessed with so many fantastic Airbnb's right here on our doorstep at Lou Lou HQ. So to help you find your dream holiday home, we have put together a top five list of our favourite spots, to help make your hunt for the perfect holiday home that little bit easier.
Designed by Frank Macchia, this Noosa home offers a very unique getaway experience from most coastal accommodations. From the large raw timber gates, the dark layered styling, record player, external connecting deck, pure linen sheets and organic cotton towels, and the open air shower with mountain views, this private sanctuary will transport you away from all the noise and provide you with a cosy holiday home to relax.
This one has been booked out solidly for stays since hitting the holiday market. Owned by Hannah Williams, this Airbnb boasts two properties and an adjoining shared swimming pool and fire pit, linen bedding, and your private oasis hidden from the road. Having graced the pages (and cover!) of Inside Out Magazine, these homes have become Instagram destinations in their own right. But apart from all these accolades, it is in the heart of Mooloolaba, and the rest of the coast is just a short drive away.
An authentic luxe beach getaway, this holiday stay is nestled between Alexandra Headland and Mooloolaba. Walk to the end of the street for beach access, coffee, bars or restaurants. With a relaxed bohemian style, this home comfortably sleeps six and boasts an outdoor shower, stunning plunge pool and beautiful interior. You'll be able to dine outside in the fully covered alfresco area and BBQ.
This one is for those who love all the homely touches. Maleny Lodge is a lovingly restored boutique accommodation in the heart of the Sunshine Coast hinterland. It has been given a beautiful refresh and is now full of luxury finishes and a thoughtfully curated interior. An exclusive adults-only retreat with individual rooms and free-standing baths, you'll be able to make use of the magnesium pool and picturesque woodland grounds.
Also called the Postman's Cottage, this beautiful pink cottage was originally the first Receiving Office for mail in the region in 1895. It has been lovingly transformed into an 'offline oasis' where instead of watching TV, you will be encouraged to play board games, have a soak in the clawfoot bath or read a book on the cane lounge on the verandah.
We hope that this has inspired you to make some time to get away and see more of Queensland. If Queensland is a little too far for a trip, don't forget to research airbnb's in your own local area, you'll be amazed by what you might find!
